The Project Management group online meeting of the Green InterTraffic project was held on June 1 by project manager, vice-president of the SPbCCI Ludmila Karelina. The participants discussed the finalizing of the Common Model to improve the road safety and eco-friendly traffic with GIS-tools in co-operation with Finland and Russia, and in particular, developing a block on environmental risk assessment.
Dmitry Samulenkov, Director of the Resource Center of the Ecological Safety Observatory, Science Park of SPU, suggested that this block should be developed with an assessment of public health risks from air emissions. Representatives of the University will perform risk calculations based on data from AQT sensors installed along the route Saint Petersburg-Helsinki in the frame of project. It is planned that this work will be carried out in September-October.
The project partners also discussed further steps to create an Educational complex. In the near future, the project's website will present training video lectures, presentations, and tasks for checking the learned material to the attention of interested users.
The next online meeting is scheduled for June 8.
