The Green InterTraffic project continues to develop scenarios of changes the air emissions of the road traffic until 2035

The Project Management group online meeting of the Green InterTraffic project was held on May 25. Ludmila Karelina, project manager, vice-president of the SPbCCI, commented on the development of the Common Model to improve the road safety and eco-friendly traffic with GIS-tools in co-operation with Finland and Russia. Most of the elements in this model have been completed, but there are still some that need to be prepared. One of it is the environmental risk assessment.

As it was decided earlier, the basis for risk assessment will be calculations based on scenarios for the development of road traffic until 2035. As a result of visualization of these calculations, the user will be able to estimate the difference between the" zero " option, which does not involve any additional measures, and the option that provides for the implementation of all planned and proposed measures to reduce the environmental load on the Russian and Finnish territories.

The next online meeting is scheduled for June 1. Over the next week, the project partners will continue working on scenarios and Roadmaps.
