Project partners are developing a manual for target groups

On June 13th  the Project Working Group Meeting dedicated to the development of the Manual for target groups was held between partners of the Green InterTraffic project.

Representatives of the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Lappeenranta University of Technology and Transport Integration Company discussed issues related to the preparation of this document aimed for road management, environmental and transport companies, government authorities and scientific community.

Among the main steps of the development of the Manual the following were focused: the compilation of a register of primary data (road length, traffic intensity, vehicles by mode, types of fuel used, etc.) and description of its sources; creation of a list of assumptions used in the methodology (for example, emission coefficients, specific fuel consumption); description of the calculation process and the listing of examples.

The parties agreed that the Finnish partners will developing of the draft of the Manual by the end of July; further it will be supplemented and adapted for Russian terms.

The release of the Manual is scheduled for September of this year.
